The sectional appendix shows it being cctv controlled from Three Bridges I assume however if I ring the number a crossing keeper at littlehaven answers

I suggested a possible reason at the bottom of the previous page - does anybody else have thought on this? Admittedly such arrangements are usually only for a few weeks and this seems to have gone on rather long, but it fits the evidence given.

For what it's worth given the known errors, the compendium of signalbox opening times shows;-
Sussex "Three Bridges ROC added.
Closing dates added
Littlehaven (Xing) and Warnham removed as they are now closed" 21/02/2013

The window facing the line has been boarded up - perhaps suggesting that whoever sits in there has no involvement with rail movements?

Spoke to littlehaven crossing keeper this morning and they still control the crossing

I don't live just round the corner from Littlehaven any more, but when the crossing was converted to barriers there was considerable concern amongst the locals about it becoming remotely operated, simply due to the volume of traffic on the Rusper Rd. This was mitigated at the time by NR agreeing to retain local operation at least for the time being. I don't know what's happened since - not very much, it would seem.

This seems to be causing confusion as the website signal box prefix codes has littlehaven crossing closed in 2012 and the compendium of signal box opening times doesn't even have littlehaven listed under the Sussex route
