Does anybody have a diagram of Desford Junction, on the MR's Leicester to Burton line, they'd be willing to share, please? (Ideally from the 1950s/early 1960s but any period will do.)

I've got an incomplete (and poorly reproduced) photograph of the diagram from 1963, and the Swift sketch which does not match.....trying to complete the details is driving me crazy!

Thanks,
Chris.

G'day, Chris,

Here's a layout for 1967:
https://signalbox.org/diagrams.php?id=1152

The issue with John Swift's sketch is that it has the older arrangements (double junction, and single slip in through crossing to form crossover) overlaid onto a layout basically similar to mine, although points 32 have been omitted.

Many thanks indeed John.

That explains and untangles the various queries I had; another one nicely ticked off!

Cheers,
Chris.
