Has anybody ever seen a drawing or photograph of a GWR Electrically Operated Independent Disc? I would be interested in seeing it if they have.....

Hockley North still had three independent discs in use after removal of the ladder connection from the Down Goods to the Up Main tou 21.3.65. The box survived until 1.12.68. I have a general photograph taken from under All Saints Street bridge, all three discs are in the photo but do not show any detail. I don't know of any drawings, I presume they were the same pattern as at Birmingham North and South boxes which were abolished in 1960.

I have not completed transcribing the Reading drawing registers and as yet I list nothing for Hawkeridge at all, not even the box itself. However drawing MB 8737 of about May 1960 is entitled "Disc Motor Operated. Magor". Drawing 2027 is entitled "Clarence Road Cardiff Signals and Discs Motor Service". According to my records neither drawing exists, i.e. I do not have a copy and of the organisations and individuals who have provided information on their drawing holding, no-one admits to that drawing, it is difficult to comment further.
