Oxmarsh Crossing: Pre-Rationalisation

Unread postby DJY475 » Sun Jan 28, 2018 11:56 am

I've recently been doing some private research regarding the railways around New Holland. Whilst I've managed to gather up some signalling plans for Pier, Town and Barrow Road 'boxes, however Oxmarsh is proving to be rather elusive. I have a copy of the modern diagram, however if anybody has a copy of the 'box diagram when the double junction to the goods yard was still in-situ I would love to see it!

Can't help you directly, but the old box burned down. The original frame was used in the new box so probably the same layout except for the position of the box.

Thanks for your reply Pete, and that would certainly seem to be the case. As far as I can tell the layout at Oxmarsh changed very little until the goods yard was finally disconnected during the 1970s. I do have a sketch of the track layout somewhere, but unfortunately it is sans signalling!
