Forum 10th Anniversary

Unread postby S&TEngineer » Wed Nov 8, 2017 12:01 pm

Just to let everybody know that today, 08 November 2017, marks the 10th anniversary of the current SB Forum. I would like to extend my thanks to JH for running the show and (trying) to keep us all in order. I would think that there is a mine of information preserved in the forum content that would not have been recorded anywhere else, and therefore would have been lost forever without it.
Regards,
S&TEngineer

At the risk of being accused of posting a "Me too" reply, I would support Richard's vote of thanks. This is an amazing resource and John deserves so much credit for putting it (and its predecessor) into existence. Thanks also to the Moderators for their 'light touch' policing.

Here's to the next 10 years!

Very definitely; thank you, John, for your hard work on this. (And thanks to Gill, too, for I imagine a degree of forbearance has been necessary when the S&T have been required on site...)

Thanks to all for the kind words - but a forum without correspondents would be as much use as an auction with one bidder. So all participants should be thanked and not just me.

What is worrying is that means I am ten years older! But I guess I'm not the only one . . .

Don't worry about surviving 10 years. Worry when you don't (or nearly don't).

If you don't, then usually it's too late then to start worrying :-)

Just wanted to add my thanks to all involved, especially our founder, for this magnificent resource. Incredible to think that I first stumbled across the main site in 1996!
