All things considered, why don't we just meet in KRM, still about noon? It will be better if the weather is bad and saves any early arrivers from having to make their way back to the mainline ticket office. I'm inclined to abandon any attempt at a box visit. My original thinking here assumed the SVR was running.

Hi Pete,

Can you confirm the above arrangements are the final decision - I'm just a bit uncertain with the "why don't we"?

Best wishes,

John

..er.. this may seem a bit silly to most readers, but I don't know how to find the KRM from the NR station!

Obviously I have a rough idea that it's sort of straight ahead and turn left into the SVR station, but beyond that I'm a bit puzzled.
ND: Why is there a door handle on the inside of my airing cupboard?
MF: Because it's the fire exit from Narnia.

I like David Lynch films. I don't consider incomprehension to be a barrier to enjoyment.

Go right through the booking hall of the SVR station and out onto the covered concourse. Just as you approach the entrance gates to the platform turn to your right and you will see the Museum entrance straight in front of you.

Hopefully I'll meet you in Brum.

Phew! Will text you my ETA: am making large amounts of noise tonight so may not hear you if you ring. I think my booked time is 0927 into New St. (same goes for anyone who's in Brum beforehand - if you PM me your mobile we can do the ringtone dance).

Yes, I was expecting some sort of response to that one way or the other but none came! So I'll make the decision- KRM, CAFE AREA, 12 NOON.
There is a train from Moor Street at 1109, gets to Kid' at 1146 or at 1129. arriving 1210. I don't suppose any late arrivals will be sent home without pay!

Ta muchly.

Or 1049 from Noo Street, change at Droitwich according to http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/. Saves walking to Snow Hill in the rain. And gives an extra injection of semaphores.

I am going to have to make my apologises as I have just found out that the kids have booked to take me out for dinner for my birthday. It was supposed to be a surprise but when I said I was going out for the day they had to tell me. Hope you all have a good day

Well, the 0625 from CBW has left right time; even if the right time is a bit of a shock to the system.

Several of us got there, saw interesting things, had interesting discussions - considered by me to be a success.
