I second that John. The DI was very much missed as well as the forum well done.

Absolutely. I think it's fair to say that we all appreciate the work, much of which goes unnoticed, which goes into maintaining this magnificent resource.

Thank you all for your kind words, but go steady as otherwise I may need to buy a larger inspector's hat!

I like all the above wish to put on record thanks to John and his team for getting everything back in order after they had to take an emergency possession.

My thanks too to John for all his efforts - I felt a bit lost without the forum too, even though I sometimes only visit it about once a week.

One small thing I've noticed, though: what's happened to the signal favicon?

I know you don't like to be called the DI, but you really don't want that hat - "larger inspector" conjures up a vision of the fat controller!
Seriously though, delighted to see the forum back in business.

Thanks for what must have been some considerable effort by lithe "signalman" and 'the developers' for getting us up and running, and in communicado again. (Hope the transformation into "John Hinson" wasn't too painful or Jekyll/Hyde-ish :) )

My thanks too. I probably missed the absence less than most - the outage coincided almost exactly with my holiday, so for once I came back without an avalanche of postings to wade through. But I was still missing it for the couple of days it was out before I went away.

Following an outage early last year we started talking about the workload John carries and the future of the Blower. The time wasn't opportune though so discussion paused - and hasn't yet restarted. Perhaps now is the time to resume - John, I'll be in touch directly and maybe we can start looking forward.

Oh, and I hope it didn't ruin your holiday too badly John.
