Right - except for the 6th June we've no visits booked for Saturdays in June, which gives us the 13th, 20th and 27th as possible June dates. Would anyone prefer an earlier date in May or a later date in July rather than one of these June dates?

My personal preference would be for the 20th June, as both the 13th and 27th are the days before Open Afternoons.

We've no visitors booked at the box on any Saturday in May, but there may be problems with the 16th, as some of us are attending a Steaming Day at Stockwood Discovery Centre, Luton from very early on the 17th. We're open on Sunday 24th, the Bank Holiday weekend, which may affect how many we can get along on Sat.

Regarding timing, are we looking at getting together between 10:30 and 11am, when we can lay on tea/coffee/biscuits, and then spending 11am-12.30pm looking round the garden and box, aiming to get to which ever pub we choose about 1pm?

Some advice, John - choose a date and stick to it. It will be fine with the majority, but you will never find a date that pleases everybody. But the sooner you choose a date, the sooner it is written in our diaries, thus preventing other engagements being made.

Our Party Visits Organiser says that Saturday 20th June is the best date from the Trust's side of things.

We'll lay on tea/coffee/biscuits from 10.30am to give people a chance to gather and relax after their journey, and show people round from about 11am onwards, before going off to a pub for lunch at about 1pm.
