John Hinson and moderators - HAPPY CHRISTMAS

Unread postby Is Line Clear » Thu Dec 24, 2015 12:52 pm

To all of you keeping this web-site running - thanks for all your work for this site.

John H - may your new ceiling stay above the Turkey and not be combined with it. Your Misses seems to have a 'Clear Understanding' as to how things should be dealt with.

To all people who are working on the 'Big' Railway over Christmas, I hope you will be rewarded for this and THANKS. I have just finished my 'Santa Signalling' on a preserved railway (but will be late turn on New Years Eve). My S & T Son has this Christmas Day off from NR and will be joining us on 25th (with kids). Turkey etc. will be cooked/burned by me as I will follow the Keith Floyd system - 'a glug of booze for the cooking and the rest of the bottle for the Chef'. Seems good to me.

Happy Christmas to all of you and all readers.

I'd like to add my thanks to John H and the Moderators as well. This Forum seems to remain an oasis of calm and sensibility compared to many others!

Best wishes to all from us at St Albans South - do make a New Year's Resolution to come and visit us in 2016 if you haven't been before.

Hear, hear and more echoes from me !

Santa brought me yet another book of signalling interest, so that's my (wet) afternoon sorted...after the turkey, the wine, the stilton and the snooze :-)

I'd also like to add my thanks both to our founder and to the team who keep things running along smoothly here. We often forget the work that goes in to a resource like this.

And I would like to send you and your families the season's greetings too.

I appreciate that Xmas is the customary time of year for major engineering works and a brief shutdown of the network, but having the roof fall in is perhaps carrying things a bit far! Best wishes for good health and happiness in the year to come, and I hope you are able to get your home back to normality with too much trouble and delay.

Yes, me too. I really appreciate this forum, and all the hard work that goes into running it !!

Whilst I don't have a signalling background, and thus rarely contribute, I regularly drop by to read the latest postings which I find really interesting and informative.

A great and much appreciated site.

Thank you !!

Hear hear!
Just off on nights. It's weird talking to the ROC now instead of old friends at Wrawby Jc when dealing with possessions on the Brigg line.

Thank you all for such nice comments, I am both flattered and fortified. But it must be said that a forum wouldn't be much use without contributors too! Long may it last.
