Sutton Area Signalling Work

Unread postby DY444 » Sat Jul 29, 2017 11:11 am

I notice that there are visible signs of the signalling work in the Sutton area including new signals to split into two the St. Helier to Wimbledon Chase section on the down St. Helier and St. Helier to Sutton section on the up St. Helier. Is anyone able to tell me the planned date for the new equipment to be commisioned please?

Is there any change to signalling on the Mitcham Junction side of the loop? Much is made of putting extra resilience into trains heading for the Thameslink core yet the margin between Victoria and Luton bound trains is being reduced from 8 to 4 minutes?

None between Streatham South Junc and Sutton but on the Wimbledon to Sutton West Junction line there are a couple of extra signals, (two aspect plus repeaters) one in each direction around Sutton common.
