Thameslink station Blackfriars at the south end of the up through line , installed in the 4 foot are aerials similar to TPWS type slightly longer in length painted yellow.What are they used for?

These could be used for Selective Door Opening (SDO) as some of the types in use do resemble oversize TPWS aerials. Hopefully someone with more localised knowledge will confirm.....

Granted yes, the photo is of a eurobalise, but this isn't what was described in scarpa's original post, unless I'm missing something?

I was under the impression that Euro balises were to be used to provide selective door opening and correct side opening using some of the spare codes that are part of the ERTMS spec but not actually used for the signalling.
