On the railcam live diagrams reporting numbers of incoming trains remain displayed after the train departs - is this the case on the actual panel?

It doesn't seem to happen at any other major terminals, including Manchester Piccadilly, although the same seems to happen on the screens visible in the information kiosk there.

Mike,

It shouldn't happen but may just be because of the large number of stock changes that Virgin trains require each day to get their Pendolino sets to a depot where repairs can take place (not all depots can carry out all repairs), the signaller may just be leaving the in-bound description there to remind themselves what has formed what train.

I must admit though that when I was LOM there I never saw that being done.

On IECCs (which Euston isn't), there's usually a clearout step for the arrival berth, triggered by the tracks in the platform going clear. So it looks neater on TD maps, and it's quicker to identify which platforms are occupied on CCF or similar. Without such a clearout, the next train in will just step into the arrival berth, and over-write the previous-arrival description there.

I can confirm that the Wembley TD does not have a clearout on track clear but also as each platform has multiple berths the arriving train will only step to the furthest vacant berth in the platform whether there is a track occupied or not. In this it emulates the previous TD at Euston PSB.
