Technical talk on signalling matters

Liverpool Signal Co

I have come across reference to frames listed as "Liverpool Signal Co" in respect of some long defunct boxes in Norfolk. Having not noticed this before, can anyone throw any light please? I suspect it might be Railway Signalling Co but was there an earlier company name?

Not as such, but I remembered a somewhat similar discussion in the past viewtopic.php?f=7&t=6057
There might be a connection.

Yes, the Railway Signalling Co is often shown incorrectly as "Liverpool Signal Co" - it has been a particular problem with the GER Signal Box Register and, I suspect, stems from old GER records in correctly using the term "Liverpool Signal Co".
