youre already correct on both, normal running is into p2 at matlock, riverside is being kept in case we have to terminate early eg in emergency,they do occur on the branch from time to time.
there is to be a instruction issued, as always instructions are only as good as those using them,whereas a physical object is more reliable at preventing misoperation,eg if you dont have key or staff you dont get to move points, once again remember its their side of fence and their ideas and operations we have to base ours around..
the method previously mentioned is option 3
option 1 top n tail,use matlock,every other loco is the one that brought it in leaving the previousd one up there for last time.
option 2 terminate at riverside run round,1 loco in use only.
option 3,use riverside but put the original incoming loco back on again,may not seem worthwhile ,but after a years operations with two locos you start to get asked is there any way we can reuse the same incoming engine and just leave the shunter up there all day, to save on costs etc,so weve provided it at day 1,yup option 3.
