Epping Signal Cabin is a project to re-furbish and install a lever frame in to the redundant Signal Cabin in Essex.

We now have a few regular volunteers who are in the process of repairing plaster work ready for painting and renewing life expired wiring for the lighting, once this has been completed we can paint the ceiling in the Operating Room and then lift the Frame components up through the floor ready to rebuild a Westinghouse 47 lever 'N' style Frame.

Like all preservation projects we need volunteers whether skilled on unskilled, interested?

Contact can be made via THE SIGNAL BOX or through our website www.eppingsignalcabin.com

Thank you.

Bob.

Very best wishes from St Albans South for your efforts - may they go as well as ours, on the whole, did!

I don't know if you've visited St Albans, but we'd be happy to see you and show you around.

This is mentioned in an article in "Rail Express" No. 235 December 2015, pages 84 - 85. The article describes the current activities of the Cravens Heritage Trust who have preserved one of the last tube trains used on the Epping Ongar line when it closed in 1994.
