Is there a description of the signalling available anywhere?
;
Lydney Bypass is listed as ABCL in quail but appears to be protected by signals, the one on the down having two heads - what aspects does it show?
;
There is a white light signal for "main line" movements at Middle Forge Junction- am I right is assuming it is extinguished when the GF is released for movements to the Low Level platform.

The A48 Bypass Crossing is auto in both directions with a flashing white light for drivers (rail) when in normal operation. This is triggered by a mixture of treadles and track circuits and a 'Drivers Plunger' on the posts either side of the crossing in case of non operation. There is an Advance Starter (colour light) in the down direction as well, this can be cleared before a train hits the strike in point.

Middle Forge is a 'temporary ' (for a 2 year period although been in operation for 18!) situation with fixed stop signals but point indicators for the Parkend line and working semaphore signals (no. 2 in the up and 13 in the down) for the Norchard Low Level line.

A two train service is advertised on Wednesdays this year. Can anyone say if it is permissible for a train to leave Parkend with another in the high level platform at Norchard?

Yes it's EKT working. Providing the first Up train has arrived at Norchard HL complete and the Up Home is placed to danger, another train can be accepted from Parkend.
