Oddingley Signalbox

Hello folks,

If anybody is interested, Oddingley Crossing box, decommissioned last October and presently 'resting' at Shottle on the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway, will move to Gorsey Bank Crossing in the vicinity of Wirksworth this Spring.

Operating initially only as a shelter for a flagman, the long-term plan will be to signal the crossing.

Below are three photographs to provide context.

Kind regards,

Neil Ferguson-Lee

The original Gorsey Bank crossing box. Since relocated to Church Lane Crossing at Peak Rail; Oddingley will remain a ground-level box when at Gorsey Bank.

A picture taken yesterday showing the site. The boxes used to provide shelter for equipment when there was an AOCL there.
