In 1913 the line from Fullerton Jcn to Hurstbourne Jcn was reduced to single-track and became a single No 6 ETT section. In 1934 the line north of Longparish was closed completely, whilst Fullerton Jcn to Longparish became freight-only OES working. The line was closed to freight in 1956, but remained in use for wagon storage until 1960, when it was all abolished except for a short stub left as a siding at Fullerton Jcn.

I have seen the relevant Signal Instructions for 1934, and also the Weekly Notice for 1960, but as yet I have found nothing relating to 1956. In particular, I am trying to establish whether OES was abolished at that time (or previously) or remained in use until 1960.

Can anyone help please?
