gents if you view the links i have posted you will see they are both ba15d which is a bayonet cap with double contacts which should not be confused with stop/tail bulbs which have a double contact with off set pins. the ba15d i linked too has double contacts on the base which take the + and - source voltage where as the stop / tail bulbs take + on both bottom contacts and the - on the metal cap.

any way all that aside, the bulbs have arrived and are installed in the equipment and working just fine.

edited to add the links i posted are to 12v bulbs.
pulling a 100yard semaphore off is easy right?
