ETCS L2 - Costs

Unread postby DataMonkey » Mon Mar 28, 2016 10:48 pm

Hi guys!

Without getting into too much detail, our usual rail guys are no longer working at my company and my boss has asked me to gather some prices for our rail cost database. My experience so far has been below track and BoQs/High level concept estimates as opposed ETCS L2 costings.

I have managed to create myself a somewhat dummy project in order to get some economies of scale going as some parts of this I can do first principles estimating.

I was just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction in sourcing some valuable pricing data?

The main areas of my "estimate" are:
TMS - Traffic Management System
Communication Package (GSM-R & FTN)
Trackside Equipment & Interlocking
Rolling Stock Fitment

then calculate with more Costs with ETCS

Electronic Equipment has a short lifecircle, the times that a Locking Frame lives 100 Years and longer are gone.

Also you are dependence of one global Company (more or less) with ETCS.
